Ormond Beach, FL - Two men are charged with putting anti-Semitic stickers and spray-painting symbols on public property. Ormond Beach Police investigators say that between Nov. 1 and Dec. 4, 34-year-old Daniel McGinnis of Palm Coast and 36-year-old Jeremy Imbler of Ormond Beach put the stickers on "various street signs, traffic light poles, crosswalk poles, traffic control boxes, and other miscellaneous items."

According to the incident report, the stickers were put at N. Nova Rd and Main Trail, in the vicinity of two synagogues, B'Nai Torah and Temple Bethel. The report states that "the Defendant intended for these stickers to be viewed by the Jewish community."

Some of the tamer ones include, "ISRAEL DID 9-11, THE ONLY GOOD COMMUNIST IS A DEAD ONE, and ANTIFA IS JEWISH MILITIA."

The first stickers were found at Nova Community Park on Nov. 1 in various places. The report said the stickers were not all the same but they all had derogatory comments about Jewish people. They found more of the stickers that day but said it looked like someone attempted to peel them off.

On Nov. 24, more stickers and a spray-painted stencil of "WW3 NOW" were placed all over the city.

On Dec. 1, the Volusia Sheriff's Office Latent Print Unit got a match on prints found in several locations, identifying McGinnis. That led investigators to a DMV search, connecting his van through an LPR search to several hits in and around Ormond Beach.

On Dec. 4 around 1 a.m., the van was spotted by an LPR on W. Granada Blvd. at Beach St. The report shows that an officer responded to that area about 8:30 a.m. Police got a warrant that day charging McGinnis with Felony Vandalism. He was arrested that night and told police that he did it alone.

On Dec. 6, McGinnis changed his story, implicating Imbler. He said Imbler was the one who used the spray paint.

On Dec. 9, a search warrant was signed for Imbler's phone.  Later that day, he went to the OBPD to read the warrant and give them his phone's passcode. He told police that they would text each other to set up their vandalism trips and that they exchanged pictures of the vandalism.

McGinnis was arrested by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office on 12-4-21 and posted a $15,000 bond on 12-5-21. Imbler was arrested on 12-14-21 with additional charges of Carrying a Concealed Firearm and Driving with a Suspended, Canceled, or Revoked Driver's License. He's out on a $30,500 bond.

The total cost of their criminal mischief with the city of Ormond Beach is $2,150 in labor, replacement of damaged items, and supplies to restore.
