Deltona, FL - A brawl at a park in Deltona ends with one person critically injured and another under arrest. Volusia County Sheriff's deputies responded to Dewey Boster Park yesterday afternoon for a report of 8-10 individuals physically fighting. Two people, ages 15 and 17, sustained stab wounds with the 15-year-old being listed in critical condition. Arrested is 16-year-old Cierra Montilla, who was captured on video committing the stabbing. She would later confess to the act when confronted by detectives.

Investigators found social media posts arranging the fight on several University High School students pages. The fight was due to an ongoing conflict at the school. Prior to the brawl, several cars of individuals arrived at the park for the purposes of fighting, some being driven there by adults, who also became participants.

Montilla is charged with two counts of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and booked into the Volusia Regional Juvenile Detention Center. The 15 year old remains hospitalized and is expected to survive.

Detectives continue the investigation and say more charges are likely.
