Ormond Beach, FL - A 75-year-old woman is dead and a 29-year-old "habitual offender" is in jail after a deadly crash.
The Ormond Beach Police Department says that Donald Tomlinson was driving westbound on Hand Avenue when he hit Margaret Ball, who was northbound on South Center Street around 6:15 yesterday evening (March 17th).
According to police, Ball was transported to the hospital but later succumbed to her injuries a few hours later.
Tomlinson, a Daytona Beach man, was charged with vehicular homicide and driving while his license was habitually suspended. He initially stated that he was not
injured, but later complained of back and neck pain and was checked out at the hospital.
After being cleared by medical staff, Tomlinson was transported to the Volusia County Jail. Inmate records show that Tomlinson is being held on a $105,000 bond.
