Edgewater, FL - One man was killed following an early morning mobile home fire in Edgewater.

The Volusia Sheriff's Office (VSO) says firefighters and deputies responded to the Ash Street residence around 12:30 Tuesday morning (February 2nd) after neighbors awoke to find the home fully engulfed in flames.

After firefighters extinguished the flames, units discovered the remains of a victim that was inside the home. According to investigators, the body is believed to be the 70-year-old male resident of the home, but positive identification is still pending and may not be made for several days.
