Ormond Beach, FL - The mother of five-month-old Daemon Scott, Stephanie Holly is under arrest in Michigan today on charges for her alleged role in the baby's death.  The charges against her are Neglect of a Child Causing Great Bodily Harm, Failure to Report Child Abuse, and Culpable Negligence Causing Harm. Her bond is set at $210,000 and she is expected to be extradited to Florida to face charges

The baby's father, Calib Scott, has been sitting in the Volusia County Jail for one year, being held without bond, charged with child neglect, aggravated child abuse, and first-degree murder by aggravated child abuse. The State Attorney's Office is seeking the death penalty.

State Attorney R.J. Larizza released the following statement at the time of the offense, “Baby Daemon
couldn’t walk, he couldn’t talk, he couldn’t roll from his back to his front,” Larizza said. “He couldn’t protect himself. He couldn’t fight back.”

Due to this being an ongoing prosecution, no further comment will be issued at this time.
