Orange City Drug Sweep Nets 12 Arrests During "Operation Meth-O-Ween"

Orange City, FL - In a continuing effort to keep an Orange City neighborhood clear of drug activity, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office ran "Operation Meth-O-Ween" today.

Today, 12 arrests were made at 711 Sunset Avenue, also known as CJ's Nursery. Early today, 12 of 17 people found at the property were either selling drugs or had them in their possession.

Three of the people arrested today, 42-year-old Clayton Leach, 48-year-old Sherry Readore and 40-yea-old Lauren Boals, were arrested at a sweep conducted at the same address in May of 2018.

Here are the defendants and charges:

• Kathleen Lauby, 39        (DOB: 11-26-79)     Sale of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, possession of alprazolam, possession of clonazepam, possession of paraphernalia;   

• Michael Benner, 43        (DOB: 12-19-75)     Sale of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of alprazolam, possession of paraphernalia;   

• Clayton Leach, 42         (DOB: 12-01-76)      Possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia;  

• Sherry Readore, 48       (DOB: 8-11-71)        Possession of paraphernalia; 

• Lauren Boals, 40           (DOB 12-14-78)        Possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia;      

• Andrew Wallace, 37      (DOB: 6-20-82)         Possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia;

• Shannon Staley, 45      (DOB: 10-20-74)        Possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia;

• Matthew Farthing, 40   (DOB: 8-26-79)          Possession of ammo by a convicted felon;

• Maria Agosto, 28         (DOB: 12-06-90)         Possession of fentanyl, possession of paraphernalia, resisting without violence;

• James Brown, 49         (DOB:  01-07-70)        Possession of methamphetamine;

• Gregory Jack, 32         (DOB: 06-23-87)         VOP warrant reference possession of schedule II;

• David Stroud, 19         (DOB: 05-19-2000)      Resisting without violence
