Daytona Beach, FL - State troopers are investigating what led a man to walk onto southbound I-95.
Florida Highway Patrol says a 67-year-old Daytona Beach Shores woman was traveling southbound on I-95 just south of International Speedway Boulevard close to 9:30 last night (February 24th). As they traveled south, an unidentified 39-year-old DeLand man walked on the inside shoulder of the interstate.
At some point, the DeLand man walked into the southbound lanes and into the path of the woman. The man was struck and killed by the traveling vehicle. FHP is still waiting on next-of-kin notification before they release his identity.
Troopers also confirm that the incident is still under investigation.
