Daytona Beach, FL - The Daytona Beach Police Department has identified a suspect involved in the death of a 19-year-old male and they need the public's help in finding him.

He has been identified as 31-year-old Arrington Turner of Deltona and police say he will be charged with second degree murder—and receive no bond—once he is apprehended. Police say he stands around 6 feet tall and weighs around 165 pounds.

Police say Turner is one of the suspects that is connected to the death of Sunday's (November 29th) shooting victim, 19-year-old John Phillips. According to a release from the DBPD, two suspects walked up to Phillips around 3:00 in the afternoon as he played basketball with other people. The two suspects walked up to Phillips and fired multiple shots without saying a word to him. Phillips was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center following the shooting and died around an hour after the incident took place.

After the shooting, the suspects ran from the park and fled the scene. One was captured that same day, but remains unidentified at the moment.

"At this time, this incident is not connected to other recent incidents," said the police department in a release, regarding multiple other shootings that have occurred in Daytona Beach over the past week. "This is an isolated incident as we continue to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors of the City of Daytona Beach."

Police have also invited the community to join them at 6:00 Monday night (November 30th) at a community meeting located at the Midtown Cultural Center, found off George Engram Boulevard. Masks will be required to attend.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting or Turner's whereabouts is asked to contact Detective David Dinardi at 386-671-5219 or DinardiDavid@dbpd.us regarding Case 200020714.
