Police Seeking Suspect In Waffle House Machete Attack

Daytona Beach, FL - Police need the public’s help in finding the man who slashed a woman with a machete at a Waffle House.

The Daytona Beach Police Department says the attack took place at the Waffle House on Seabreeze Boulevard on Thursday (Feb. 24). The woman, who had cuts to her head and hands, said she was at the restaurant when a man came up to her and attacked her unprovoked. 

She managed to jump over the counter and out the back door before calling police. Witness reports say the woman was struck at least twice.

Surveillance video posted by the DBPD shows the man talking with the woman while the pair sat at a booth. The man then got up before returning to the booth and pulled the machete from his pants.
