Poll Workers Needed For General Election

Posted

DeLand, FL - The General Election is eight weeks away, on November 3. There’s still time to request a mail-in ballot, register to vote, or sign up to be a poll worker.

Volusia County supervisor of Elections Lisa Lewis says the deadline to register is October fifth and you can ask for a mail-in ballot up to two weeks before the election.

In order for the election process to go smoothly, poll workers are needed. Lewis said she’d also like to have people trained for standby.  There is training involved and on election day, everyone works a 14-16 hours day.

There will be few more polling place changes. Lewis said any registered voter whose polling place changes will receive a new voters registration cards. You can check your voters registration status by clicking here.
