Port Orange, FL - A single vehicle accident Saturday morning resulted in the death of a woman. Port Orange Police (POPD) say the accident happened around 7:30 a.m. on Spruce Creek Road, just north of Commonwealth Boulevard. The woman was severely injured and transported to Halifax Hospital Daytona. She was pronounced deceased a short time later. The victim's identity has not been released, penidng next of kin notification.
No one else was injured. POPD is asking that anyone who witnessed the accident or has other information contact PIO Sergeant William Harrison at 386-506-5814.
