Port Orange, FL - A Port Orange man is facing multiple charges—26 so far—after a cyber tip led investigators to recover multiple graphic videos from his cell phone portraying sexual abuse of children.

According to a release from the Volusia Sheriff's Office (VSO), the first 26 counts of child pornography possession represents just a few of thousands of files seized from electronic devices belonging to 41-year-old Brian Yanks. Yanks was arrested at his home on Tuesday (August 10) by the VSO Crime Suppression Team.

The investigation into Yanks began back in December when VSO investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that 47 files of suspected child pornography had been uploaded. After identifying Yanks as the owner of the files, investigators obtained search warrants to secure more evidence. It wasn't until June 30 that a search warrant was executed at Yanks' home, where he was interviewed by detectives.

After seizing several electronics, which were then forensically examined, investigators discovered at least 26 files containing videos. The videos depicted female children, as young as 2 to age 13, in sexual situations. Yanks has since been arrested and charged for those 26 counts, which landed him in the Volusia County Branch Jail on bail worth $260,000.

This investigation into Yanks continues, according to deputies. While there are no indications of in-person victims, anyone with information about potential victims is asked to contact the Volusia Sheriff’s Office Child Exploitation Unit at 386-323-3574.
