Port Orange South Daytona Chamber Taps Barbara Ann Heegan for President & CEO

PORT ORANGE, Fla. - Barbara Ann Heegan has been hired as the new President & CEO of the Port Orange South Daytona Chamber of Commerce, a press release from the organization revealed Thursday. It will be the third time Heegan has held the CEO post for a chamber of commerce, having previously done so in Otsego County, New York, and in Greenwood, South Carolina.

Since May of last year Heegan has worked as a freelance strategic business consultant in South Carolina according to her resume, a job she took up after leaving the Greenwood Chamber. A meet and greet event will be held with Heegan on Wednesday, May 17th, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Riverside Pavillion. The event is organized by the Chamber, and registration is free.

A litany of Heegan's professional credentials were laid out by the Port Orange South Daytona Chamber in their release, including her time working for the American Red Cross, and a recognition by The Business Council of New York State for her work at the Otsego County Chamber. Additionally, she holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta.
