Port Orange, FL - The City of Port Orange and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3282 are taking proactive measures to make sure residents and the at-risk population stay safe as they celebrate Memorial Day 2020.

Their plan is to help people observe Memorial Day this coming Monday (May 25th) with a virtual commemoration ceremony that will be held on the Port Orange City hall Facebook page.

The event begins at 9:45 a.m. and will include pre-recorded speeches from Port Orange Mayor Don Burnett and city council members Chase Tramont and Scott Stiltner. Then, at 10 a.m., the ceremony will continue with a display of colors, the laying of the commemorative wreath and a 21-gun salute live at Veterans Park.
