Tallahassee, FL - Blue crab trapping season runs all year but beginning January 1, 2020, trappers over the age of 16 are required to complete an online, no-cost recreational blue crab trap registration.
Stone crab trappers had to fill out the same form when their season started on October 15. Once the form is completed, each person receives unique trap registration numbers that must be included on each trap along with the owner’s full name and address.
Blue crab trap registrations begin with a "B" and stone crab registrations begin with an "S." The information needs to be legible and permanently attached to each trap. Visit MyFWC.com for the rules and regulations.
