Deltona, FL -  Travel in the Deltona area has been difficult this afternoon, with a fatal accident on I-4 causing all traffic to exit the highway at Saxon Boulevard just before noon.  FHP Troop D Lieutenant Kim Montes reports that a 52-year-old Sanford man on his motorcycle clipped the rear left of the car in front of him. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of 2:15 p.m. today, (Oct. 12) vehicles are still being forced to exit I-4 as FHP continues its investigation.  Excess congestion is being seen on Saxon and Normandy Boulevards, and Veterans Memorial Parkway. Check back with News Daytona Beach dot com for updates.
