Some Landlords Just Waiting For Eviction Moratorium To Expire

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - Governor Ron DeSantis gave a last-minute extension to an order that seeks to help prevent foreclosures and evictions amid job losses and financial problems caused by COVID-19.

The extension to August 1 gives people a little bit of breathing room but it doesn’t keep landlords and banks from filing for eviction or foreclosure.

Since April 1, there have been two hundred and eleven evictions filed in the Volusia County Clerk’s Office with thirty-four signed evictions to be served.

The Volusia Sheriff’s Office has eighteen signed evictions on hand.
