Three Arrested During Drug Bust At Beachside Apartment

Daytona Beach, FL - Members of the Daytona Beach Police Department's (DBPD) Problem Oriented Policing (POP) unit make another round of arrests after raiding a beachside apartment.

As a result of the raid, 43-year-old Sean Reynolds, 41-year-old Jamie Keegan, and 39-year-old Brandon Garner are now facing multiple charges after officers discovered drugs—which amounted to nearly 7 grams of methamphetamine—and an assortment of paraphernalia, including plastic baggies and a digital scale with drug residue on it. Officers also seized seven cellphones and other items with drug residue on them.

According to the DBPD, the drug bust came after a Volusia County judge signed a search warrant. The warrant itself was based on investigative work done after officers received complaints of drugs and stolen property being stored inside that apartment.

“Our patrol officers did great work initially by recovering some stolen property taken during a car break-in in the area,” said POP Unit Supervisor Captain Scott Lee. “The POP Unit took it from there. Telling us about unusual behavior can help clean up the trouble spots. We definitely appreciate and encourage tips like that from the public.”

Keegan—a Palm Coast resident—is charged with felony narcotics possession after officers found a cigarette box lying on the living room couch which had Alprazolam pills inside. Reynolds faces three felony charges, including narcotics possession, selling narcotics within 1,000 feet of a house of worship and violating his probation for drug trafficking. Garner is charged with misdemeanor possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

As of Monday afternoon (August 9), Reynolds is the only defendant still in jail as he is in custody with no bond allowed.

This is the POP Unit's 8th raid since December.
