Ponce Inlet, FL - Three men were rescued by the United States Coast Guard after their vessel became disabled.

According to the U.S. Coast Guard 7th District PA Detachment in Jacksonville, crews received the call for help around 6:30 Tuesday evening (August 11th) from the wife of one of the men stranded on the vessel.

After the call, an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Clearwater located the 25-foot vessel 18 miles east of the Ponce de Leon Inlet. A 45-foot Response Boat with a crew from the Coast Guard Guard Station at Ponce de Leon Inlet was then called in to help.

The boat crew arrived at the disabled vessel around 8:45 that night and took the disabled vessel in tow to Ponce de Leon Inlet.

"It was great to see all of our training pay off," said Petty Officer 2nd Class Collin Milne, the coxswain on the case. "We had ideal weather and great communication, which was vital to the success of the mission and everyone played a pivotal role."
