Daytona Beach, FL - A Christmas Party is scheduled at 2 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, December 18, for veterans staying at the Emory L. Bennett Veterans Nursing Home on Mason Avenue in Daytona Beach.
The group Ormond Strong is the host for tomorrow's event and another scheduled for this Friday, December 20, beginning at 3 p.m. at the Barracks of Hope, located at 605 North Seagrave Street.
Ormond Strong has collected gifts and Christmas stockings for the veterans but Commander Debbie Kruck-Forrester said something most veterans really need is the gift of other people's time and to know that someone cares.
