Daytona Beach, FL - Two men are charged in a burglary spree of vacant homes where they stole brand-new stoves, microwaves and dishwashers. Volusia Sheriff's investigators arrested 38-year-old Vincent Doyle and 39-year-old Luis Aponte today (February 3) at a home located beachside on Richards Lane.
A search of the home found 18 appliances, some still wrapped in plastic. The men confessed to 11 burglaries across the county and detectives seized items including the vehicles used during the burglaries, cash, documents, electronics and other evidence.
There's one charge of burglary and one charge of Grand Theft Under $5,000 against each man at this time. Doyle also has a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine.
Additional charges in the other cases will be forthcoming pending further investigation.
