DeBary, FL - The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help them identify the female juvenile seen in video from a Ring doorbell camera. Detectives say the theft happened on Friday, September 27.
A resident in the 130 block of Hammock Oak Circle in DeBary reported the theft of a yellow Amazon package after seeing the theft on the Ring video. The video shows the girl knocking on the front door, then bending down to pick up the yellow Amazon package. She then put the package under a stack of papers on the clipboard she was carrying and walked away.
The victim told detectives that the same girl came to his door on September 19, soliciting for a school fundraiser. The victim declined to donate. He still has the video from the first encounter.
VCSO detectives are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to call the Sheriff’s Office District 6 office at (386) 668-3830 regarding Case # 19-20741.
