DeLand, FL -  The next COVID-19 vaccination event in Volusia County takes place this Thursday (January 14) at the Volusia County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Online pre-registration opens up on Wednesday (January 13) at 9 a.m. at volusiacountyc19fairgrounds1-14.eventbrite.com/ . There's also a phone number to call for setting an appointment. It's 866-345-0345.

The County of Volusia, in partnership with the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County (DOH-Volusia), is hosting the event. Five hundred appointments will be available and are available in one hour timeslots. Once a timeslot is full, appointments will no longer be available during that timeslot. There is a maximum of two registrations per transaction online and three registrations per transaction via telephone.

Distribution of the vaccine will be done in drive-up fashion. Only the Moderna vaccine will be provided at this site. DOH-Volusia will return to this location in 28 days to offer the second dose to those who are due. Those who receive a vaccination should return to the site during the same appointment timeframe as their first appointment in 28 days for their second dose. Individuals may not report to a different site for their second dose. When returning to the site, DOH-Volusia will only offer the second dose of the vaccine.

When you pre-register, you will be required to complete a screening and consent form prior to receiving a vaccination. Individuals who have had any other vaccinations in the previous 14 days or tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous 10 days do not qualify for the vaccine. To see the full list of screening questions, which may disqualify an individual from vaccine eligibility, review section two of the form available at volusiahealth.com/shots

On the day of the event, you must have an appointment to receive the vaccine. You should arrive during the hour of your scheduled appointment. You're asked to not arrive any earlier due to limited capacity. Vehicles must enter and exit the site via N. Prevatt Avenue.

The County of Volusia and DOH-Volusia do not charge for COVID-19 vaccines. The only official website to make an appointment for vaccinations at the Volusia County Fairgrounds is volusiacountyc19fairgrounds1-14.eventbrite.com. Appointment opportunities listed on any other website or which request financial information are not valid.
