Volusia Elections Debuts New Website

DeLand, FL - The Volusia County Supervisor of Elections is happy to announce that the county’s elections office has a brand new website.

According to an email from Elections Supervisor Lisa Lewis, the new website—which will operate under the new domain, VolusiaElections.gov—promises a more user-friendly experience, and a more secure one at that.

Lewis said that transitioning from a DotOrg domain to a DotGov domain—a domain that only government organizations may utilize—offers additional security monitoring by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the FBI.

“In the age of misinformation and disinformation, utilizing DotGov will send a clear message to our voters that we are the official and trusted source for election information in Volusia County,” Supervisor Lewis said.

The new website is full-service, packed with information and resources for voters, candidates and the public. The website also offers voter registration, a precinct locator, and vote-by-mail requests. Residents can also find information on their local candidates, and how to become a candidate themselves.
