Volusia & Flagler Counties To Provide Info For Small Businesses

Daytona Beach, FL - Volusia County will host a panel discussion and Flagler County will host a webinar this Friday, both are to assist businesses navigate available program funding after being negatively impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

The panel discussion in Volusia begins at 10 a.m. at the Volusia County Emergency Operations Center, located near the Sheriff's Office on Tiger Bay Road.

County Manager George Recktenwald will moderate the panel which includes Volusia County Economic Development Director Helga van Eckert, the Daytona State College Director of the Small Business Development Center, Thomas Daly, President/CEO Career Source Flagler/Volusia Robin King, and President/CEO Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce, Nancy Keefer.

The Flagler County offices of Tourism Development and Economic Development is hosting  the webinar that begins  at 3 p.m.  It will be accessed on Zoom and here's the link.  The password is 913000.

This webinar is specifically for the tourism and hospitality industries with additional webinars  in the future for other segments of business and industry. “We have invited local attorney, Scott Spradley, and Tortugas owner, Scott Fox, to help business owners in these two industries learn how available funding can help them survive and revive from the impacts of COVID-19,” said Tourism Development Director Amy Lukasik.

“Professionals who have experience filing claims, or who have a broader understanding and knowledge of the programs available to businesses, are invited to participate as panelists for upcoming webinars,” said Economic Development Manager Kat Friel.
