Volusia School Board Chooses Three Finalists For School Superintendent

DeLand, FL - The field of candidates for Volusia School Superintendent is now down to three. During today's (October 15) School Board meeting, members spoke with each of the seven semi-finalists in an effort to narrow the field.

The three finalists are Dr. Ronald "Scott" Fritz, currently Chief of Staff for Teaching, Leading, and Learning for Osceola County Schools. Dr. Peter Licata, currently Regional Superintendent for Palm Beach County Schools, and Dr. David Moore, currently Assistant Superintendent in Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

The three finalists will be interviewed on November 7 and 8. A community reception will be scheduled for the evening of the 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m to "Meet and Greet the Finalists" at the Sanborn Activity Center, 815 S. Alabama Ave, DeLand.

The School Board is scheduled to choose Volusia’s next Superintendent at the November 12th School Board meeting.
