Daytona Beach, FL -  Two suspects in multiple recent shooting cases in Volusia County are now in the Volusia County Jail. Volusia County Sheriff's deputies arrested 30-year-old Rayon Rattigan, of Deltona, and 19-year-old Jahqwane Tyson, of Sanford, were taken into custody around 7:30 p.m. at State Road 46 and I-4, after they crashed into an unmarked vehicle, driven by a member of the U.S. Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Investigators have been conducting surveillance on the vehicle in connection with multiple recent shooting events in Volusia County.

Rattigan already has warrants for attempted first-degree murder and shooting into an occupied dwelling. Now he's charged with aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement and habitually driving with a suspended license. Deputies clocked him at more than 100 mph from Air One. Tyson has his own warrant on a charge of shooting into an occupied dwelling. Both are suspects in multiple cases.

Sheriff Mike Chitwood commended all involved in the investigation and apprehension of both suspects: “Our deputies went home safe, and two shooting suspects went to jail – that’s a win for the citizens of Volusia County, and I couldn’t be prouder of the work our deputies and detectives did tonight.”
