VSO Asking For Information In Home Invasion Robbery

New Smyrna Beach, FL - Volusia Sheriff's detectives are investigating a home invasion robbery that left a 22-year-old man with serious injuries. The incident happened early Monday (April 13) morning at a home located at 451 Hickory Street in New Smyrna Beach. 

Detectives do not consider the incident random but the victim told them he did not know the suspects. He said they broke in just after midnight, beat him and stole money before leaving the residence. The victim was beaten badly enough to require hospitalization but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

At this time, no description of the suspects has been released.
