UPDATE: Sheriff Chitwood announced the Volusia Sheriff's Office is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of this suspect.

Port Orange, FL - Volusia Sheriff's detectives are looking for 28-year-old Conrad Massey in connection with a shooting that took place in Port Orange on April 9. Massey, who also goes by the street name 'Gold Mouth,' has already been in and out of the Volusia County Jail a dozen times.

According to the incident report, the shooting happened on April 9 when the victim confronted the man he knew as 'Gold Mouth' about allegedly selling drugs on the property located at 1888 Halifax Drive in Port Orange. The victim was living on the property in a camper. On April 9, he had no power so he went to talk to the suspect, who was living in the main house at that time.  The victim said 'Gold Mouth' walked into the kitchen, grabbed an AK 47, and put the gun to his jaw, threatening to kill him. The gun did go off right next to the victim's head, doing damage to the side of his head.

VSO detectives say Massey is wanted for first-degree murder in the shooting and also faces charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, conspiracy to traffic in heroin and unlawful use of a two-way communications device to facilitate committing a crime.

Anyone with information on Massey or his whereabouts is urged to contact the Volusia Sheriff’s Eastside Detective Unit by calling (386) 254-1537. Or call the non-emergency number: (386) 248-1777 regarding Volusia Sheriff’s Office case number 20-7287.  You can also remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida at 1-888-277-8477 (TIPS), or online at NEFCrimestoppers.com . Tipsters could qualify for a reward of up to $5,000. Massey should be considered armed and dangerous.
