Tallahassee, FL - The sales tax holiday begins today and runs through Tuesday, August 6. There are, of course, restrictions to what can be purchased.
Clothing, footwear, and certain accessories selling for $60 or less per item, certain school supplies selling for $15 or less and personal computers and certain accessories selling for less than $1,000 are all eligible for the tax holiday.
Florida CFO Jimmy Patronis encourages Floridians to take advantage of the holiday and back to school savings. Nationally, the average family spending for K-12 students is expected to reach nearly $700.
