2019 Hepatitis A Trend Continues In 2020

Daytona Beach, FL - The Florida Department of Health says the number of Hepatitis A cases reported weekly is not slowing down in 2020.

In the week ending January 25, 41 news cases were reported in Florida. Twelve of them were reported in Volusia County. In 2019, more than 300 cases were reported in Volusia. By comparison, Flagler County only had 14. 

Health officials urge people to get vaccinated against the disease. County health departments and other health providers have administered more than 302,000 vaccinations.
