Deltona, FL – A 21-year-old Deltona woman has died from her injuries after she was hit by a car on April 7.
On April 7, Kaley Leep was walking along Lake Helen-Osteen Road, north of Catalina Boulevard, in Deltona when she was hit by a car around 5:30 AM. The 61-year-old driver of the vehicle says she did not see Leep in the middle of the road until it was too late to react.
Leep was airlifted to the Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford by a VCSO helicopter. She was taken off life support on Thursday.
The VCSO is currently investigating the crash.
