Palm Coast, FL - Almost a year to the day since the incident, Flagler County deputies obtain an arrest warrant for the second suspect wanted in a Pine Grove Drive home invasion and robbery.
But 21-year-old Isaiah Johnson was already jailed in Volusia County – with multiple charges stemming from an unrelated case – when he was charged with home invasion with a dealy weapon and grand theft.
According to investigators, Johnson was a "close associate" of the primary suspect wanted in the September 2019 home invasion, Alexander Brown.
During the investigation, detectives determined that the vehicle involved in the robbery was a rental car that was obtained by Johnson's sister. Additionally, Johnson told detectives, while under oath, that he had never been to Palm Coast.
But investigators with the FCSO Digital Forensics Unit found out that Johnson was lying and that there was probable cause to indicate that he was at the home at the time of the robbery.
That, along with other evidence, led deputies to apply for an arrest warrant.
“Our detectives using our new investigative technology and good police work did an outstanding job investigating this case,” Flagler Sheriff Rick Staly said. “We are still looking for the third suspect in this crime and will not give up until all of them are behind bars where they belong.”
Flagler County detectives say the case is still active and ongoing as they work to charge the third suspect.
