New Smyrna Beach, FL - The third shark bite in 24 hours is reported in New Smyrna Beach today (August 4).
Volusia County Beach Safety reports that a 68-year-old man from Nashville, TN was bit on his right foot by a shark while standing in knee-deep water near the 2400 block of South Atlantic Avenue. He sustained minor lacerations to his right foot. He refused transport to the hospital and was released with bandage and dressing.
Yesterday, two people were bit separately just a few blocks away.
