Audio Sample Ballot Available In Volusia County

DeLand, FL - With early voting only two weeks from tomorrow and the Presidential Preference Primary ten days after that, the Volusia Department of Elections and the County IT Division have created an audio sample ballot.

Supervisor of Elections Lisa Lewis said: “We want all voters to have an opportunity to study the race as it pertains to Volusia County.” She said the information on the audio sample ballot can be accessed by phone and is what you will see on a mail in-ballot or in the voting booth. The phone number to call is 386-254-4688.

Lewis said while the audio sample ballot is geared to those that are visual/print-impaired, anyone can use it. "I hope that it will be utilized. Anyone can listen to it but we do gear it towards those that have a visual impairment so that they have a heads-up on what's going to be on the ballot when they do go in to vote."

Early voting takes place in both Volusia and Flagler counties from March 7 through the 14. Election day is March 17.
