Ormond Beach, FL— Aloha from your friends at the Ormond Beach Police Department! Everyone is welcome to attend this year’s “Hawaiian Luau” themed event for National Night Out on August 1st between 5pm-8pm! There will be entertainment for people of all ages.
The night will feature Hawaiian hula dancers, a Hawaiian band playing some island tunes, bicycle rodeo, martial art demo, face painting, photo ops, bouncy houses, music from local radio stations and so much more! Mascots from PAW Patrol, Chick-fil-A COW, McGruff the Crime Dog, and OBPD’s 10Alpha1 are all ready to spread some cheer. The local favorite, Schmancy Pops, will be there to cool the summer night with their amazing flavors. Donnie’s Donuts will also be serving some of their famous donuts. Several local companies will be represented while we give away some spectacular prizes with our popular raffle. OBPD Chief Godfrey, Captain Rosenthal, and Captain Roos will be on the grill serving up some classic delicious food!
Annually over 15,000 communities across the United States join forces and celebrate National Night Out. A Nationwide attendance of over 37 million people from all 50 States, U.S. Territories, Canadian Cities, and our Military Bases worldwide will come together in an effort to promote a Community and Police Partnership. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It furthermore provides an opportunity to bring police and neighbors together.
The event will take place at Nova Community Center 440 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach FL 32174 on August 1, 2017, from 5pm-8pm.
