Daytona Beach, FL - Any Volusia County citizen that's curious about how county law enforcement works has a chance to talk to seven local police chiefs and the Sheriff of Volusia County.
It's all part of a town hall done in conjunction with the Daytona chapter of the NAACP, Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration of Life, Inc., the Daytona Beach Black Clergy alliance and eight different Volusia County law enforcement agencies.
NOTE: The only chief not listed on the original poster was Chief Jason Umberger of DeLand, who will be appearingThe town hall, which will be broadcast from the Volusia County Emergency Operations Center, will offer viewers and citizens a chance to learn about local arrest policies and how the agencies operate. The presenters will also offer an equipment demonstration, a Q & A session and other additional topics of conversation.
"It gets the dialogue going and get everybody talking about what's going on because like I said, we can always do better," said Daytona Beach Police Chief Craig Capri on the Marc Bernier Show.
Chief Capri will be one of the presenters at the town hall, alongside Sheriff Mike Chitwood and the police chiefs of Ormond Beach, DeLand, Holly Hill, South Daytona, Daytona Beach Shores and Port Orange.
