Ponce Inlet, FL - The U.S. Coast Guard is reporting the rescue of a 65-year-old man in Ponce Inlet who was in an electric wheelchair when it fell into the water.
The incident was reported about 1:30 p.m. today (February 24) by Good Samaritans that saw it happen.
A Coast Guard Station Ponce De Leon Inlet 24-foot special purpose craft received the alert as they were tranisting outbound on patrol. The crew recovered the man from the water. He was safely transported to Station Ponce in good condition.
