Daytona Beach Is Relaxing Restaurant Seating Rules

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - The city of Daytona Beach, in an effort to help local restaurants is adopting a temporary policy allowing restaurants the flexibility to create or expand their seating outdoors for on-site food consumption.

Restaurants don't have to go through the entire process of getting a permit for outdoor seating. The policy allows for seating within parking or landscaped areas and within the city’s right-of-way, subject to city approval. Restaurants that want to put seating within the city’s right-of-way, are asked to contact the Planning Department at 386-671-8120.

Restaurants can expand their seating configurations to private property as long as appropriate social distancing guidelines and ADA requirements are followed.
