Daytona Beach Police Actively Searching For Killer

UPDATE: Chad Keene was caught Tuesday around 5:30 PM.

Daytona Beach, FL - A  30-year-old woman was shot and killed in broad daylight on a quiet Daytona Beach street Tuesday.   Just before Noon, police were called to a shooting in the 300 block of Glenview Boulevard, according to Police Chief, Jakari Young.

A short time later police set up a perimeter, while a canine unit and a Volusia County Sheriff's Office helicopter searched the area for the suspected shooter, Chad Keene. Keene is described as having the letter "R" tattooed on his cheek and a skull tattoo on his neck.

The victim, Karli Elliott, was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach where she died.

Chief Young believes that the motive may have been a love triangle. 

The shooting prompted the lockdown of three schools near the scene. Ortona Elementary School, Our Lady of Lourdes Academy, and Riverview Alternative Education Center. The lockdown was lifted around 3 PM.
