Victim Sought In Abduction Case Found

UPDATE 2: DBPD is reporting that the female victim in this incident has been found safe.  Chief Craig Capri is expected to release more details later this afternoon.

UPDATE: The incident report for this case points to it being an actual abduction. One witness reported topolice that the woman knocked on his door asking him to call police. Review of the witness' doorbell video the female could be heard telling the man, "I want you to call the police, I told him to stop putting hands on me." The female could also be heard say "if he touches me call police".

Other video shows the suspect park on Keech St. directly next to the witness' residence and approach the female. The suspect forces the female to go against her will pulling her across the lawn to the passenger side front door of the vehicle. The man pushes the woman inside the car, apparently against her will as she tried to fight him off.The vehicle's last known direction of travel was northbound on N. Keech Street from Avery Street.

Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach Police investigators are asking for the public's help in finding out more about a possible abduction. They say it looks like the suspect physically forced a woman into a vehicle near the intersection of Keech Street and Avery Street yesterday (December 26) afternoon.

Investigators have photos of the vehicle, a silver or light-blue Hyundai Sonata, model year believed to be between 2009 and 2014 and the man and woman involved. The man is believed to be an African-American in his late teens or early 20’s who stands around 5’6. He has a short afro-style haircut and was last seen wearing a black Adidas T-shirt, black track pants with white trim and all-white tennis shoes.

The female is an African-American in her late teens or early 20’s. She has long blonde hair and was last seen wearing a brown jacket with a white shirt, black pants and pink & white tennis shoes.

It's not clear how police were alerted to the incident.  Investigators say the identities of the man and woman are not clear at this point. It’s also unclear if the man and woman know each other or who owns the Hyundai.
