Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach Police are looking for a suspect in a stabbing incident that happened early Monday (August 26) morning on Seabreeze Boulevard.
The description of the suspect is as follows: White male, 25 to 30 years old, between 5’7 and 6 feet tall, weighing between 160 and 170 pounds. Wearing white shirt, white hat and gray shorts with the “Air Jordan” logo.
Police say the call came in at 3:17 a.m. for a stabbing in front of the 509 Lounge. First responders found the victim, who is not being identified at this time, with a stab wound on the left side of his stomach. He was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center and underwent surgery for the wound. He’s expected to make a complete recovery.
The victim said he was standing outside of his vehicle, which was parked in front of the lounge, when a white SUV pulled up and parked nearby. Two men, one of whom was the suspect, got out and demanded the victims keys. The victim told them he didn't have the keys. The suspect called him a liar while the other man, who was driving the SUV, took a swing at the victim's face and missed.
At that point, the suspect stepped closer to the victim. The victim said he felt a sharp pain in his side. The suspect said, "That's what you get," which is when the victim saw a pocket knife in the suspect's hand. The victim said the suspect then threw a food-filled foam container at him before he and the driver of the SUV jumped in the vehicle and drove off.
Investigators have found video of the suspect and the driver at a nearby pizza restaurant hours before the attack. The SUV driver has since been identified by detectives. No arrest has been made at this time.
Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to contact Detective Michael
