DBPD Looking For Person Of Interest In Jean St. Stabbing

UPDATE: (07-27-20)  - The Daytona Beach Police Department says the victim in this case has died. He is identified as 31-year-old Adrian Allen. He was found lying on his back with numerous stab wounds, on the floor just outside an apartment.

Deputy Police Chief Jakari Young said officers responded to the call at 11:27 pm on Saturday (July 25). “It appears that both the victim and the suspect were in the apartment for a good
period of time before the fight broke out on the landing area, where the victim was stabbed multiple times,” Young added. “The specific circumstances or motive is still unknown at this time.”

Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach Police investigators are asking the public to help them find a man they say is a person of interest in a stabbing that happened yesterday (July 25) in the 400 block of Jean Street. They are looking for a man who goes by the nickname of "Detroit" who is said to frequent the Jean Street Apartments. 

Detroit is described as a black male, in his late 30’s or early 40’s and standing about 6’2. He often wears a Detroit Tigers hat like the one in the picture with this story.
