DBPS Attempting To Locate Vehicle Break-In Thieves

Posted

Daytona Beach Shores, FL - The Daytona Beach Shores Department of Public Safety is asking for help in identifying and/or locating a man and a woman they say broke into a vehicle, stole a credit card and then went on a spending spree.

At around 2:20 p.m. yesterday (February 26), a security camera in the underground parking garage of Oceans 4 Condo picked up a fire engine red Mazda pulling into the parking lot. A man seen getting out of the car was caught on video breaking into a vehicle and stealing a credit card.

DBSPS says the couple then went on a shopping spree at several businesses in the area purchasing hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards from grocery cards and convenience stores.

The Florida license plate number on the Mazda is CJCY55. The tag has been run and DBSPS says they have a pretty good idea who the female suspect is but still need help identifying her. They do need help identifying the man who got out of the car.  He's a white, bearded male and was wearing a black t-shirt with the word "FRIENDS" written on it.

DBSPS says they believe the couple is from the Jacksonville area and ask that everybody share their post from their Facebook page or you can share the link to this story.
