Deadline To Request Mail-in Ballot Is Saturday

Posted

DeLand, FL - There are 12 days left until the general election but there are just two days left if you want to have a mail-in ballot mailed to you.

Volusia County Supervisor of Elections Lisa Lewis says you can get a mail-in ballot after Saturday but it can't be mailed. "You have until October 24 to request a vote-by-mail ballot for us to mail them. If you want one after that, you need to come over to our office and you can pick one up."

Lewis said if you already have your mail-in-ballot you need to get that in and you don't have to mail it. "If you still have a vote-by-mail ballot you're ready to turn in, you don't have to mail it. You can, the postage is paid but every one of our early voting sites, the seven locations, have a dropbox outside. Pull up, drop it off, be on your way. They're brought back here every night."

Seven early voting sites are open in Volusia County. They are all open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. You can find the locations at volusiaelections.org
