Edgewater Council Member Won't Be Prosecuted

Edgewater, FL - An Edgewater City Council member doesn't have to worry anymore about being prosecuted.

Due to what a spokesman called "insufficient evidence", the office of State Attorney RJ Larizza will not go after Megan O'Keefe for domestic battery.

The 31-year-old was arrested last September for hitting her soon-to-be ex-husband during an argument on his property.

The month prior, O'Keefe automatically won election to the Edgewater City Council since she was the only person to file for the open seat in District 3.

O'Keefe's soon-to-be ex-husband also works for the City of Edgewater.
