Palm Coast, FL - A Flagler County deputy and his canine companion locate a missing and endangered child after they ran away from home.

The call for help went out around 11:45 this morning (June 26th). According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies were told about a 13-year-old teen with disabilities that ran away from their home in Palm Coast's "F" section.

Before the search began, Flagler County Deputy Sgt. Gimbel and his bloodhound partner, Holmes, took a pillowcase from the teen's bedroom and used its scent to see if they could track the child.

The teen was found just over an hour later in the woods near Frontier Drive. After a quick health check by fire personnel, the juvenile was released to their caretaker.
