Bunnell, FL - The impasse at the Flagler County Courthouse over additional space for the Sheriff's Office is over. County Clerk Tom Bexley met with County Administrator Jerry Cameron and County Chair Donald O'Brien on Monday (July 22) to discuss the county’s request for more space at the courthouse to accommodate the sheriff’s personnel.
The result of the discussion is a Limited Purpose Interlocal Agreement between the Flagler County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller and the Flagler County Board of County Commissioners and an additional 1,018 square feet for the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
The letter states that the Sheriff's Office was originally allotted 5,500 square feet of Clerk allotted space in good faith. It goes on to say it's the Clerk's intention to allot an additional 1,000 square feet to the Sheriff's Office at the County's request for continued cooperation over space planning constraints.
