Florida Gas Prices Fall Over The Last Week

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - The price of a gallon of gas in Volusia and Flagler counties is falling but industry experts say that may not last long.

In Florida, the price of gas has fallen at the rate of a penny a day over the last ten days with the current state average just fractions of a penny under $2.40.

Today’s average is a nickel cheaper than last month and 31-cents cheaper than last year at this time, putting Florida on the Top 10 list for biggest yearly change.

In the Daytona Beach area, prices are a bit lower than the state average at around $2.35. In Palm Coast, it's $2.39 for a gallon of regular.

Triple-A Florida says prices could increase because refineries are conducting maintenance right now and gasoline demand is a bit higher than usual for this time of year.
