Deltona, FL - The Deltona firefighter convicted of serial date rape is back behind bars.

40-year-old Terry Freeman was found guilty in July 2014 and sentenced to 7 and a half years in prison and 7 years sex offender probation. He was released in May of last year. But according to court records, Freeman violated his probation when he missed curfew and falsified driving records. He is back in the Volusia County jail with no bond.

Officials said the rape accusations date back to 2002, but many of the victims were reluctant to come forward. It took nearly 10 years before one of the women finally went to the police. Deputies say he used his position as a firefighter to gain his victims' trust.

Freeman will be back in court January 6th, 2022.
